Fishchips classic with Crispy Fresh Salad and Caesar Dressing

Prepare the Fishchips Classic according to the instructions on the packaging.

Chop the lettuce into leaves, wash, and drain well. Slice the cucumber, cherry tomatoes, and radishes into thin rounds. Quarter the apple, remove the seeds, and slice it into thin wedges.

To the mayonnaise, add sour cream, a teaspoon of Dijon mustard, and apple cider vinegar. Mix in grated cheese, anchovies, lemon juice, and a few drops of olive oil. Season with pepper and blend with a hand mixer until smooth and creamy. Adjust salt if needed and add more anchovies for a slightly bolder flavor with a tangy balance from the anchovies, cheese, mustard, lemon, and vinegar.
Toss the Romaine lettuce with the Caesar dressing. When serving, add the sliced cucumber, cherry tomatoes, radishes, and apple to the salad, and sprinkle with crushed walnuts.

Serve the salad alongside the Fishchips Classic, drizzle with a few drops of olive oil, and add extra Caesar dressing on the plate to use as a dip.

  • 6 walnut halves
  • 4 cherry tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon grated hard cheese (e.g., Parmesan)
  • 2–3 salted anchovies
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • olive oil
  • Salt & pepper
